Here’s a 200+ character review for Woody’s Wharf: We had a good experience at Woody’s Wharf overall. The food was enjoyable and well prepared, and the portions were satisfying. Service was okay and the atmosphere felt relaxed and casual. What really stood out was the great waterfront view, which made the visit much more enjoyable. Overall, it was a nice place to sit, eat, and enjoy the scenery.

Really cool place, the view is probably one of the best I’ve seen in the whole country, if you like the view of the water and the boats. The food was good, the server was friendly. Glad we went here just for the view and the wood plank flooring kind of felt like home where I grew up. Good experience, Newport Beach overall was a really great tourist location.

We went on Taco Tuesday at happy hour, which meant that there were some really good specials for food and drinks. The staff were upbeat and positive, enjoyable to talk to. Everything was good. We tried a lot and everything was a win. The scaliwag Shrimp tacos had bacon and breaded shrimp on them. How the taco was assembled was a new combo for me. I really liked it and would definitely get them again. I like the vibe of the place. It has a timeless local vibe. Like it has been there for a long time. It matches the views of the ships outside your window. You'll see a new yacht, but right next to it is an old fishing charter. I recommend giving it a shot.

Solo traveler. Stopped in for an early dinner and surprised by an awesome Happy Hour menu. Clam chowder was awesome even if not in a bread bowl. Shrimp cocktail was fresh and flavorful, and the crispy fish tacos were amazing and plated beautifully! This is a fun atmosphere with covered outdoor dining. I visited at Christmas time and this was the most festive business which reflects the mood inside! I wish I could go back to try more ! Thanks for a great dinner Woody's!

Let me start with the obvious: Anyone who knows me knows I do not like Newport Beach. Or the OC. At all. Newport, Newport Coast… the whole scene is just not my vibe. But Woody’s Wharf? I will cross county lines for this brunch. Happily. Repeatedly. Sometimes we even make a whole staycation out of it — book the Marriott up the street, walk down to the marina, and let the day drift by. This time we only drove in for their holiday brunch, and let me tell you: it was absolutely worth the trip. First of all: Bottomless brunch means bottomless — and get this — it’s FREE with any brunch entrée. No fine print, no two-hour limit, no weird restrictions. Literally bottomless until 3:30 PM. You can sip, socialize, reset, and go right back for another round. It’s a rare thing these days for restaurants to actually stand behind the word bottomless, but Woody’s does. The service is always top tier, too. We usually request Peter because he is consistently phenomenal — friendly, attentive, and somehow manages to keep the drinks flowing even during peak rush. The whole team just gets it. And then, of course… my obsession with boats. Sitting at the marina with the sun hitting the water, watching boats glide by while you enjoy brunch? It’s exactly the kind of coastal moment that feels like a tiny vacation, even if you’re only there for a few hours. So here it is, my honest truth: I don’t like Newport — but I love Woody’s Wharf. It’s the one place down here that has earned a permanent spot in my rotation, and if I’m willing to drive (or stay overnight!) for it? You absolutely should too.
